A couple of days before the Eid break began it was announced that we would have the Sunday off. That left me with 9 days off school, and the perfect opportunity for an overseas adventure. Anyway, I packed up the bags and took an 8 hour flight to Manila. Manila was not quite as glamorous as I thought it would be. It was actually kind of sad to see the poverty juxtaposed with the skyscrapers and modern city.
What was nice to see was Tagaytay and Coron, Palawan. For just under $200 USD I was able to fly to the province of Palawan, stay at a hotel and have breakfast/lunch provided for 3 days. It was a pure piece of heaven - paradise, completely untouched.
It was sad having to come back and face reality, but I know that in 3 weeks I'll be heading to Thailand to start out on another adventure. Does anyone have a suggestion for where I should go in March?
